Green Building

בניה ירוקה

The field of green building gained significant momentum beginning in 2015, following the completion of the Israeli Green Building Standard (SI 5281) in all ten of its sections. In her role as Head of the Green Building Standards Department at the Standards Institution of Israel, Dr. Avigail Dolav led dozens of large-scale projects through the certification process in accordance with the requirements of the standard.

In parallel, she worked closely with heads of local authorities and key stakeholders within municipal administrations to promote and implement the standard in major urban projects. This effort aimed to institutionalize its application and ensure that a substantial number of buildings would be approved and constructed in accordance with green building principles, particularly in Israel’s major cities.
